In her eighty-fourth year on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at Baycrest Hospital in Toronto, Ontario. Tilya Helfield, beloved wife of the late Eric Sidney Helfield. Devoted mother and mother-in-law of Marie (Neil) Finkelstein, Dr. Gillian Helfield (Eric Klein), Dr. Randa Helfield (Dr. Scott Sebastien), and Dr. James Helfield (Crispin Stutzman). Dear sister and sister-in-law of Pauline (Dr. Jerome) Becker, Susan (Michael) Newman, and Dr. Ralph Gallay. Cherished Grandma of Jonathan (Natasha), Emily (Rocky), Sara, Zoe, Julia, William, Adrienne, and Eric, and Great-grandma of Ty. At Steeles Memorial Chapel, 350 Steeles Ave., W., for service on Tuesday, August 1 at 10:00 a.m. Interment on Wednesday, August 2 at 10:00 a.m. at Eternal Gardens Cemetery, Beth Zion section, 33 Elm Ave., Beaconsfield, Quebec.
