KAVANAT, Stephen
Peacefully in Toronto after a courageous battle, on Thursday, July 11, 2013 in his sixty-first year. Loving father and father-in-law of Lesley Kavanat and Jonathan Rubin, Jordanna Kavanat and fiance Bernard Yoo. Proud Papa of Remy. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Nancy and Jerry Leithman, and the late Robin Kavanat. Son of the late Amelia and the late Ben Kavanat. Cherished uncle of Jason Leithman and Salina Arkin, Gillian Leithman, Jamie Leithman and Tara O'Reilly, Alexis Placzek and Andrea Wolinetz, and Brett Placzek; and great-uncle of Jordan, and Noah Leithman; and Liam Leithman. Stephen will be sadly mourned and fondly remembered by his family and friends. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the outstanding doctors, nurses and staff of 14A at the Princess Margaret Hospital and the I.C.U. team at the Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto for their exceptional care and compassion.
