PHILLIPS, Aida (nee Babins) Peacefully, on Tuesday, September 27, 2011. Beloved wife of Sydney for sixty-seven years. Devoted mother and mother-in-law of Rhona and Ben Carniol, Jim and Ava (Bier) Phillips. Cherished Bubbie of Mira and Naomi Carniol, Nathan and Cyndy, Matthew Phillips. Proud great-grandmother of Jonah. Predeceased by her siblings and their spouses, Peter and Ettie, Nat and Hannah, Tommy and Gert, Babby and Harry Weiser, Grace and Jesse Dixter, Rae Babins. Aida will be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Funeral Service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon Street, W., on Wednesday, September 28 at 11:00 a.m. Burial at the Beth Zion Congregation, Eternal Gardens Cemetery, Beaconsfield. Due to the advent of Rosh Hashana, shiva will be held in the Moroccan Tea Room, 3rd Floor, Maimonides Geriatric Centre, until 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 28.
