ALBERT, Emanuel (Mickey) Peacefully, on Tuesday, August 30, 2011, in his ninety-third year. Beloved husband of the late Margaret Jacobson for sixty-eight years. Cherished father and father-in-law Barry Albert and Colette Langlois of Montreal, Isabel Albert, Carol Albert and Michael Firestone of Toronto. Loving brother and brother-in-law of Kenny and Andrea Albert, Polly and the late Lou Albert, the late Evelyn Merson. Predeceased by his parents, Matilda Steinberg and Charles Albert. Emanuel will be lovingly remembered and missed by his family and friends. The family wishes to thank Shirley Dilegero for her devoted and loving care, and the staff of Maimonides Geriatric Centre for their thoughtful and dignified care, especially Fruan and his team. Emanuel was a decorated WW II army veteran, having served in the UK and Europe from 1939 to 1945. While stationed in England, Emanuel met Margaret Jacobson. They married July 18, 1940. He was past Master of the Corinthian Masonic Lodge (no. 62). Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Thursday, September 1 at 12 noon. Burial at the Beth Zion Congregation Section, Eternal Gardens Cemetery, Beaconsfield. Shiva private. Following burial, the family will be receiving visitors at 2035 Ward, Saint-Laurent.
