TOROBIN, Sy (Simon). In Toronto at Sunnybrooke Hospital on Tuesday, October 9, 2007. Beloved husband for 60 years of Edith Etcovitch. Loving father of Jackie and Brian. Son of the late Rose and the late Boris Torobin, and son-in-law of the late Molly Charness (Etcovitch). Dear brother and brother-in-law of Leonard and Marcia Torobin, Allan and Rusty Torobin and brother-in-law of the late Rita and the late Maurice Nayer. Cherished uncle to Jeremy Torobin and to the Nayer children. Sy was a founder and past president of Beth Zion Congregation. At Benjamin's Park Memorial Chapel, 2401 Steeles Avenue W., (three lights west of Dufferin) for service on Wednesday, October 10 at 2:30 p.m. Then to Paperman and Sons, 3888 Jean Talon West, on Thursday, October 11 at 2 p.m. Burial at Beth Zion Congregation Section, Eternal Gardens Cemetery, Beaconsfield. Shiva at Ruby Foo's Hotel through Thursday evening then continuing on Sunday, October 14 at 1210 Don Mills Rd., #414, Toronto.
