EKSTEIN, Lawrence Peacefully, on Saturday, January 15, 2011. Devoted husband of the late Sylvia Spivack Tratt. Dear father and father-in-law of Howard and Lynn Ekstein, and the late Marsha Elane. Caring grandfather of Sabrina Ekstein. Loving stepfather of Bruce Tratt, Robyn and Alan Fenster, Matthew and Debra Tratt. Devoted and proud Zaidie of Jordana and Terry Schonberger, Corey, Ashley, Brittany, and Shelby Fenster; and Philip Tratt. Predeceased by his parents Menasha and Esther Ekstein, and by his sisters Rose Katz and Helen Ekstein. Dear brother-in-law of Molly and the late Ben Bultz, Issie and Mildred Spivack. Many thanks to the staff of The Waldorf Seniors' Residence and the staff of 7 NW and the Palliative Care Unit at the Jewish General Hospital. Funeral service at Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Wednesday, January 19 at 11:00 a.m. Burial at the Beth Zion Congregation Section, Eternal Gardens Cemetery, Beaconsfield.
