(née Friedman). On Wednesday, August 30, 2017, in her ninety-first year. Beloved wife of the late Joseph. Loving Mother and mother-in-law of Mark and Roslyn, Paul and Lourdes, David, Joan, and Abraham. Cherished Bubba of Erin and David (Kaushansky), Tara and Jonathan (Saxe), Ryan, and Samantha. Proud great-grandmother of Ethan Joshua, Noah Lev, Brooklyn Sloane, and Kensington Aubrey. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Dr. Shulom and Faigie Friedman, Ted C. Friedman and Louise Gagné, and predeceased by Arthur, Melvin, Jack, and Joseph A. and Nancy Friedman, Regina and Elis Lewkowicz, Ruth and Dr. Isidore Lubin. Predeceased by Joseph’s siblings and their spouses, Harry and Ruby Fogel, Hyman and Eunice Fogel, Lily and Sydney Oelbaum, Maurice and Gwen Fogel, Samuel and Dorothy Fogel. Gersha will be deeply missed by her many nieces, nephews, family and all who knew her. The family would like to thank the Dialysis Department at St. Mary’s Hospital and all the staff at the Jewish Eldercare Centre. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Sunday, September 3 at 11:00 a.m. Burial at the Beth-El Congregation Section, Eternal Gardens Cemetery, Beaconsfield. Following the burial, the family will be receiving visitors at Pizza Pita.
