BETTER, Dr. Ned After a long battle with Parkinson's, on Thursday, January 14, 2010. Beloved husband of Helen Altow. Devoted and loving father and father-in-law of Robert and Judy, Howard and Bobbi, Mark and Lynda. Loving Zaidie of Matthew; David and Hannah; April, Vanessa, Amanda and Emily. Dear brother and brother-in-law of the late Clifford and the late Sandra Better, and brother-in-law of Bill and Debby Altow of Vancouver. Son of the late Ida and the late David Better. He will be sadly missed by his nieces, nephews, family, friends and all those whose lives he touched. Special thanks to Doris Martin for her years of care-giving, and to the 2nd floor staff at Maimonides Hospital for their care and compassion. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Sunday, January 17 at 11:00 a.m. Burial at the Beth El Congregation Section, Eternal Gardens Cemetery, Beaconsfield. Shiva at his home, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. daily until Thursday evening.
