PANTEL, Hyman
In his ninety-second year, after a valiant struggle, surrounded by his loving family, on Saturday, December 17, 2016. Beloved husband of Beverly Respitz and the late Gert Moscovitch. Devoted father and father-in-law of Leslie and Sandy Pantel, David Pantel, and stepfather and father-in-law of Douglas Grundman, Cathy Grundman (Willie Grzywacz), Gregory and Nina Respitz. Cherished grandfather of Lori Pantel and Craig Kurland, Jill and Jason Madorsky, Adam Pantel and Sara Zborovski; Jody Grundman, Ali Grundman and fiance Bryan Weinberg; Michael and Carly Obrand, Richard Obrand (Alissa Rubinfeld), Sam Obrand; Jordan, and Paige Respitz. Adoring great-grandfather of Jack and Will Kurland; Cooper and Charlie Pantel; Emma Madorsky. Dear brother of Esther Goldfarb, and brother-in-law of Morty and the late Alma Cryer, Ingie and Chava Respitz. Predeceased by his siblings, Fanny Luchner, Abie, Ben, Jack (Zundel), Mary Lerner, Alec, Saul, and William (Bill). Hyman will be fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, family and friends. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Monday, December 19 at 1:00 p.m. Burial at the Beth-El Congregation Section, Eternal Gardens Cemetery, Beaconsfield.
