DOUEK, Renee (nee Abourbih). On Thursday, October 7, 2004 in her ninety-second year. Beloved wife of the late Bension. Devoted mother and mother-in-law of Mireille and Albert Hamaoui, Viviane and Joseph Sananes, Claudie and Elie Dayan, Maurice and Marian. Cherished "Nona" of Joyce and Robert Abitbol, Claude and Eliezer Shoop, Isabelle and Moshe Punski, David and Lisa Hamaoui, Julie and Ian Katz, Renee and Robert Spiegel, Solomon and Elana Sananes, Karen and Barry Simon, Joelle and Harvey Mandelker, Maurice Dayan, Robin Douek, and Barry Douek. Adored great-grandmother of twenty-six. Predeceased by her siblings Nessim, David, Rachel, Felix, Maurice, Joseph, and Victoria. Dear sister-in-law of Edouard and Nina Douek, Albert and Bacci Douek, Cely and Ezekiel Schouela, Elie and Denise Douek, Frida and the late Leon Douek, Hugette and the late Henri Douek, the late Sophie and the late Joseph Douek. She will be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews, family and friends. A special thank you to Dr. Robbie Mahood, her caregivers Esther and Lydia, and the staff of 4W at the Jewish General Hospital for their exceptional care and compassion. Funeral service from Paperman and Sons, 3888 Jean Talon W. on Sunday, October 10 at 1 p.m. Burial at the Congregation Beth El Section, Eternal Gardens Cemetery, Beaconsfield.
