SEGAL, Muriel (nee Polonsky)
On Monday, February 15, 2016, at home, after a brief illness, in her 97th year. Beloved wife of 60 years of the late Lionel. Loving mother of Stephen (Harriet), Peter (Nancy), and Brian (Roslyn). Adored grandmother of Robert (Stephanie), Gregory (Rebecca), Andrew (Rebecca), Matthew (Tara), Daniel, Justin, and Jessica. Proud great-grandmother of Joshua, Jonah, Noah, and Madeline. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Albert and the late Sima Polonsky, Elsie and the late Mac Polonsky, the late Philip and the late Claire Polonsky. She was the wonderful last member of the eight Segal siblings and their spouses: Manny and Esther Lazar, Oscar and Esther Segal, Abe and Fanny Silverman, Hy and Rose Vinocur, Henry Segal, Irving and Cecile Phillips, and Ben and Sylvia Segal. Muriel was much loved by her many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Many thanks to Connie Alovera and Muriel's other caregivers for their warmth and compassion. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean-Talon St. W. on Wednesday, February 17 at 12 noon. Burial at the Beth-El Congregation Section, Eternal Gardens Cemetery, Beaconsfield.
