CARO, Alexandra (nee Nickelsberg)
On Thursday, November 1, 2012 at the Mount Sinai Hospital following a courageous battle with cancer. She was eighty-two. Born in Alexandria, Egypt, and a Montrealer since 1967, Alex was an extraordinary artist, a fabulous homemaker, and above all a loving wife, mother, grandmother and cherished friend to many members of a large extended family. She had beauty, brains and charm to spare, and will be sorely missed by many; but most notably by her devoted husband of forty-five years, Victor Caro; her daughter Denny Arar and sons Roger Arar, Sylvio Caro and Yves Caro; their respective spouses Christian Goetze, Alida Camp, Ruth Caro, and Avril Lewis; grandchildren Seth Arar, Celine Arar, David Caro, Dhani Caro and Melissa Caro. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Sunday, November 4, at 12:00 p.m. Burial at the Beth El Congregation Section, Eternal Gardens Cemetery, Beaconsfield. Shiva at her home, Sunday though Tuesday, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, (514) 255-5151. |
