Obituary Anna Neuman (nee Horowitz). On Tuesday, June 6, 2017, in Toronto. Beloved wife of the late David Neuman. Cherished mother of Eva, Joel and Carol. Loving grandmother of David and Jed. A sole Holocaust survivor of her family from Ostrowiec Swietokrzyski, Poland, including her parents, Shmul Mendel Horowicz and Chava Cukierman Horowicz, and siblings, Shifra, Abraham and Rose, none of whom could be honoured with a funeral in their own right. Anna had many challenges in her eventful life, and she faced them with courage, dignity and kindness throughout her ninety-seven years. She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her. Graveside on Thursday, June 8 at 11:00 a.m., at the Shomrim Laboker Congregation Cemetery, Beth Hamedrash Hagadol Section, 5015 rue de la Savane. Shiva in Toronto at 2500 Bathurst St., from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Sunday and Monday, June 11 and 12. Evening services at 7:30 p.m. daily.
