STEINBERG, Charles Peacefully, on Friday, December 21, 2012 at the young age of ninety-five. Beloved husband of Esther Shankman for sixty-six years. Devoted and loving father and father-in-law of Marvin and Gail (Caplan), Shelley (Rochelle) and Steven Reich. Cherished Zaidie of Yarnell, and Yaelburton; and Robyn. Predeceased by his ten siblings. Dear brother-in-law of Sara and the late Bill Berish, Norman and Lorraine Shankman. Charlie will be lovingly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, and family, and by all who knew him. Special thanks to Marbie, Ludy, Tess, and doctors Mark Lipman, April Shamy, David Small, and Richard Sheppard at the Jewish General Hospital for their exceptional care and compassion. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Sunday, December 23 at 1:00 p.m. Burial at the Shomrim Laboker Congregation Cemetery, Beth Hamedrash Hagadol Section, de la Savane. Shiva at his home from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. daily.
