CAPLAN, Leonie (nee Ellen Sybil Birnbaum) With much courage and dignity, on Friday, February 6, 2015, surrounded by her family. Beloved wife of the late Howard Caplan. Loving and devoted mother and mother-in-law of Harris and Kathy, and Lorne. Proud and adoring Bubby of Haley, and Jillian; Dakota, and Skyelar. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Faigie and Stanley Birnbaum, Esther and the late Fred Levine; and sister-in-law of Frances and the late Bernard Isenberg, Doris and the late Lew Caplan, the late Sylvia and the late Harry Rosen, the late Diane and the late David Tessler, the late Myer and the late Sylvia Caplan, the late Sarah and the late Dr. S.W. Baker. She will always be remembered with love by her nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. The family would like to thank the staff of St. Mary's Hospital for their care and devotion over the last three challenging weeks. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Sunday, February 8 at 10:00 a.m. Burial at the King George Benefit Association Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva at 11 Lyncroft, Hampstead from 1:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. through Friday afternoon.
