BASBAUM, Freda (nee Cohen). Peacefully on Thursday, August 29, 2002 at Shalom Village Nursing Home in Hamilton, Ontario. Beloved wife of the late Ben Basbaum. Loving mother of Mel and Judy Basbaum, Allan and Carol Basbaum, Chava (Eleanor) and Harold Segalowitz, and Nissa Basbaum and Robin Graves. Devoted grandmother of Cory and Takako, Brett, Katherine, Jesse, Bryna, Evan, Benjamin and Rebekah, and great grandmother of Kyla. Dear sister of Gerald and Elaine Cohen, Mildred and the late Leonard Albert, Dr. Seymour and Ryva Cohen, and the late Harold and the late Marcia Cohen. Funeral Service from Paperman and Sons, 3888 Jean Talon West on Monday, September 2 at 1 p.m. Burial at the Bassarabier Hebrew Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva private.
