ABISH, Sylvia z"l" (nee Brodkin) Peacefully, after a lengthy illness, on Saturday, July 23, 2011. Beloved wife of Frank for sixty years. Devoted mother and mother-in-law of Gerald and Bina Abish, Sharon and Allan Ptack. Cherished Bubbie of Alanna, Elliot, Adam and Joshua. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Anne and William Friedman. Sylvia will be sadly missed by her nephews, family and friends. Special thanks to Dr. Ronald Ludman for his compassionate care for many years, and to the staff of Castel Royale, Jewish General Hospital and Maimonides Geriatric Centre. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Monday, July 25 at 2:00 p.m. Burial at the Canadian Hebrew Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva at her sons residence.
