SHULIMOVNA SZPILBERG, Maria (Masha). On Sunday, October 1, 2006 at the Maimonides Geriatric Hospital after a lengthy illness. A decorated WWII heroine in the struggle against Nazism. Masha was the beloved wife of the late Efim Mogilevski. Cousin of the late Dr. Maria Rozenfeld, Anna and Michael Szpilberg. Aunt of Shulamit Cuikerman, Mila and Ira Mogilevski. Niece of Polina Szpilberg, Frida and the late Michael Szpilberg. Sister-in-law of Gregory and Natasha Mogilevski. Masha has left all who knew and loved her with cherished memories of her generosity of spirit, her courage in the face of impossible circumstances, her humour and above all her selfless devotion to the care and welfare of all living beings. She will be sadly missed. Funeral service from Paperman and Sons, 3888 Jean Talon W. on Wednesday, October 4 at 2:30 p.m. Burial at the Canadian Hebrew cemetery, De La Savane. |
