Peacefully, on Wednesday, March 28, 2001, a very special man in his ninety-fourth year. Beloved husband and best friend of Edith Steeris for sixty-seven years. Devoted father and father-in-law of Larry and Phyllis, Marty and the late Gail (Margolese) of Vancouver, Harvey and Margaret of Edmonton, and Ron. Cherished grandfather of Stephen and Heidi Lemish, Debbie and Howie Gold; Brian, Steven and Karen Levitt; Lisa and Giorgio Jiminez, Lauren Lemish; Joshua, Leonard and Ilana Lemish. Loving great grandfather of Leanne Lemish. Dear brother of Ida Lew, the late Doba Boyer, the late Gertie Garcy. Predeceased by his parents and his brother who perished in the Holocaust. Sadly mourned by his nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Dr. Brian Gore, and to the staff of Maimonides Hospital for their dedicated care. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon West on Friday, March 30 at 1 p.m. Burial at the Shomrim Laboker Congregation Cemetery, Beth Yehudah Section, de la Savane.
