RAIKLES, Ilan. On Saturday, Dec. 2, 2000, after twenty-six years of courageously engaging in battle with the dragon Cystic Fibrosis, the valiant Prince Ilan was slain. Tho' weary, he drew strength from the members of the court. His royal parents: Queen Marlene, King Jocelyn, King Marshall, Queen Paula. His sister, Princess Dahlia. His grandparents: the Grandqueen Ida and the late Grandking Israel Lewis, the Grandqueen Shirley Raikles-Goldman of the Lake Worth principality in Florida and the late Grandking Sol Raikles. The Knights of the round table feature Aunt Neile and Uncle Joe Schlein, Uncle Abbey and Aunt Jeanne Raikles, cousins Rebecca and Hannah Raikles. The Fair cousins and sisters-in-honour of the Prince, Stacey (and Kerry) Schachter and Candace Schlein. His troops and allies were many, including Dr. Hani Shennib. The doctor fought a great battle for Prince Ilan, thereby giving Ilan seven and half more years to drink mead, break bread, and enjoy the young maidens. Ilan fought the battle with tremendous courage and dignity. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon West on Monday, Dec. 4 at 1:00 pm Burial at the Shomrim Laboker Congregation Cemetery, Beth Yehudah section, de la Savane. Donations in his memory may be made to the Quebec Cystic Fibrosis Association. |
