LEWIS, Ida (nee Sklar) On Wednesday, December 11, 2013. Beloved wife of the late Israel. Loving mother and mother-in-law and best friend of Chana and Joseph Schlein, Marlene Lewis, and Jocelyn Allard. Cherished Bubby of Stacey Schlein (Kerry), Candace Schlein (Jim); Dahlia Raikles (Sheldon), and the late Ilan Raikles. Proud Great-Bubba of Ilana, and Shane Schacter. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Sylvia and the late Solly Sklar, the late Yetta and the late Abe Chazanoff; and sister-in-law of the late Hyman and the late Frances Lewis, the late Gilda and the late Lew Dash, the late Issie Lewis, and the late Bella and the late Luzer Tannenbaum. Special aunt of Hannah and Stanley Sklar, Arlene Chazanoff and Phyllis Rosen. Ida will be sadly missed by her other nieces and nephews, family and friends. The family would like to thank Kathy MacDonald, Dr. Towers, and the third floor staff of Mount Sinai Hospital, as well as her wonderful caregivers Hilda, Laida, and Isabelle for their care, kindness and devotion. Funeral service from Paperman and Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Friday, December 13 at 1:00 p.m. Burial at the Shomrim Laboker Congregation Cemetery, Beth Yehuda Section, de la Savane. Shiva at her home from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. daily.
