WEINBAUM, Chiel (Charlie). A Holocaust survivor who passed away with dignity after a courageous battle with cancer on Friday, September 29, 2000. Beloved husband of Bunny Percher and the late Fay Birnbaum. Devoted father and step-father of Thomas and Dianne Weinbaum, Barry Edward Weinbaum, Esther and Harry Steinberg, Myron and Marisa Goodman. Loving Zaida of Alan Steinberg; Brooks, Matthew and Zoe Goodman. Predeceased by his parents Rifka and Chaskel Weinbaum, his brother Itche, sisters Goldie, Tema, Esther and Ruzia, and numerous relatives who perished in the Holocaust. Special thanks to Dr. Marcy Gillman for her special care and devotion. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon West on Monday, Oct. 2 at 12:15 pm Burial at the Chevra Shaas Congregation Cemetery, Chaverim Kol Israel Section, de la Savane. Shiva at his residence. Contributions in his memory may be made to the Montreal Holocaust Memorial Centre, or to the Jewish National Fund of Canada. |
