ROTH, Esther (nee Bernad) Peacefully, on Thursday, June 3, 2010, at Mt. Sinai Hospital. Devoted daughter of the late Chaim and the late Leah Bernad. Beloved wife of Asher for sixty-three years. She leaves, in Montreal, her daughter Dvora and son-in-law Yigal Weinman, as well as her son Chaim and daughter-in-law Ella in Israel. Her passing will be deeply mourned by her grandchildren, Nava (Asher), Steven (Tara), Omri (Anat), Adi, and Edan. She was the proud great-grandmother of Isaac, Benjamin and Rachel who are blessed to have known her, and newborn Uria. Dearest sister of Chaim Bernad and sister-in-law of Amalia of Israel, and the late Rezo Bernad. She will be sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews, as well as other family members and friends. A special thank you to the staff of Castel Royale and of the Palliative Care Department of Mt. Sinai Hospital for their care and compassion. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Sunday, June 6 at 2 p.m. Burial at the Hebrew Sick Benefit Association Cemetery, de la Savane.
