KAUFMAN, Benjamin Peacefully, on Friday, January 27, 2012, with his niece Carol Ann and her husband Stephen Mills by his side. Predeceased by his loving wife Lydia, whom he missed every day. Born in Bucharest, Romania in 1927, Benjamin emigrated to Israel and later to Canada, where he obtained his teaching degree from Sir George and his Masters from McGill. Ben enjoyed his years of dedicated service to Wagar High School. He will be greatly missed by his brother, Toby, sister-in-law, Lina, niece, Daniella and her husband, Philip Green; as well as his caregiver, Michelle and a special friend, Raluca. The family would like to thank the staff of Manoir King David, especially nurse Tatiana. Special thanks to the staff and nurses of the Montreal General Hospital Stretcher Care and 15 West, and especially to Drs. Everett, Green and Rabinovitch, for their care, compassion and guidance. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on January 30 at 1:00 p.m. Burial at the Hebrew Sick Benefit Association Cemetery, de la Savane.
