BERMAN, Ruth (nee Rusk) On Sunday, January 8, 2017, three months before her ninety-eighth birthday. Beloved and devoted wife of the late Ben. Loving and much loved mother of her sons Terry and Steven. Proud Bobie of John and Tiffany, Julia and Thomas, Laura, Robin and Stephanie, and Karen. Doting great-grandmother of Dominic, Jamie, and Kyle; and Benjamin. Dear sister of Elsa and the late Jack Tooberman, the late Evelyn and the late Joe Wasserman, the late Miriam and the late Ed Berger; and sister-in-law of the late Rae Glasberg and the late Bessie Silverman. Ruth will be fondly remembered by Rita Shapiro, Nancy Johnson, by her nieces, nephews, and family, notably her lifelong friend and cousin, Tom Rusk. Special thanks to her caregiver Susan for her devotion, and to the doctors, nurses and staff of the 4th floor at Mount Sinai for their exceptional care. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Tuesday, January 10 at 2:00 p.m. Burial at Hebrew Sick Benefit Association Section, Baron De Hirsch Cemetery, de la Savane.
