BERMAN, Ben After a long illness, on Thursday, March 26, 2009. Beloved husband of Ruth Rusk for sixty-five years. Loving father and father-in-law of Terry and Nancy of Leawood, Kansas, and Steven of Chicago. Treasured Zaida of John and Tiffany, Julia, Laura, Robin, and Karen. Proud great-grandfather of Dominic and Jamie. Predeceased by his sisters, Rae Glasberg and Bessie Silverman. Brother-in-law of Miriam and Ed Berger, Elsa and the late Jack Tooberman, the late Evelyn and the late Joe Wasserman. Ben will be fondly remembered by Rita Shapiro; his nieces and nephew, Beverly Schneider, Elaine Sturm, Irwin Glasberg, and their families; and by his many dear friends. Special thanks to Catherine Lloyd of CLSC Rene-Cassain for her devotion, and to the staff of the 3rd Floor at the Hospital of Hope for their exceptional care and compassion. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Sunday, March 29, at 11:00 a.m. Burial at the Hebrew Sick Benefit Association Cemetery, de la Savane.
