It is with great sadness that we announce the quiet passing of Blanche Dorothy Rubinstein on Wednesday, July 31, 2019, in Halifax. Showing the great determination that was her character, she made it to her ninetieth birthday on June 17. Blanche relished a good story, especially ones about the family, and cared deeply about the well-being of others. Wife of the late Dr. David Rubinstein, a distinguished biochemist at McGill University and later at Dalhousie University. Daughter of the late Ruth and the late Dewey Goldstein of Montreal. Devoted mother of Larry, Bruce and Rhonda and mother-in-law of David Peters. Very proud grandmother of Dashel Rubinstein Peters (San Francisco, CA). Sister-in-law of Helen and Bernie Rubinstein with their daughter Arlene (Toronto). She will be deeply missed by family and neighbors in Clayton Park, Halifax. Graveside service at the Hebrew Sick Benefit Association Cemetery, de la Savane on Thursday, August 8 at 11:00 a.m. |
