BROOKS, Beverley. Peacefully, after a courageous fight, on Sunday, January 6, 2008, at the age of sixty-six. Daughter of the late Sally Sobel. Devoted mother of Patrick Mallaley (and partner Jan). Partner and friend of Rawle Jordan. Loving niece of Ida and the late Aaron Goldsman, Nancy and the late Syd Abrahams, the late Elsie and the late Sy Handel, the late Fay Sobel, the late Ethel Sobel, the late Al Sobel, the late Annie Sobel. Treasured cousin of Alan and Yaffa Handel, Alvin and Debbie Goldsman, Sandra and Jay Sunray, Arnie and Nilli Abrahams, Barry and Cheryl Goldsman, and their families. Beverley will be fondly remembered by Claude, and Ernie, and sadly missed by her family and many dear friends. Special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff of the 3rd floor at the Mount Sinai Hospital for their compassionate care. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean-Talon St. W. on Wednesday, January 9 at 10 a.m. Burial at the Hebrew Sick Benefit Association Cemetary, de la Savane.
