SHUSTER, Isabel Alice (nee Burko). On Thursday, December 4, 2008, at the age of ninety-five. Beloved wife of the late Hyman. Devoted mother and mother-in-law of Stanley and Joan. Cherished grandmother of Michele and Richard. Predeceased by her siblings, Abe, Ben, Michael, Harry, Kate, and Barney Burko, and Rose Levitt. Winner of the Protestant Board of School Commissioners Medal for the City of Montreal in high school, and recipient of a Licentiate Degree in Music from McGill University. Pursued a career in teaching prior to her marriage to her beloved lifelong partner and husband, Hy. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Monday, December 8, at 11 a.m. Burial at the Hebrew Sick Benefit Association Cemetery, de la Savanne. Shiva private. |
