BERISH LEON, Zella (nee Safran) On Friday, August 12, 2016, in Florida. Daughter of the late Sylvia and the late Ben Safran. Beloved wife of the late Isidore Berish and the late Lee Leon. Loving mother and mother-in-law of Peter and Tina Berish, Gerald and Roberta Berish, Lois Berish and George Pollack, Mark and Orly Berish, Lee and Jan Leon, Richard and Tobby Leon. Cherished grandmother of Issie and Nadine, Daniel and Kathy, Seline and Paul, Francine and Jon, Jared, Mathew, Stacy, Alexandra, Richard, Matthew, Lori, Rob, Mark, and Lisa. Proud great-grandmother of Vanessa and Naomi Zella. Predeceased by her brothers and sisters-in-law, Teddy and Esther, Ben and Sadie, Andy, and Bernie. She will be greatly missed by her nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends. Special thanks to her nurses and caregivers for their exceptional help and compassion. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Monday, August 15 at 2:00 p.m. Burial at the Hebrew Sick Benefit Association Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva at 4300 de Maisonneuve Blvd. W. #624, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. through Wednesday evening.
