SHERMAN, Miriam 1914 -2009 It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Miriam Sherman in her ninety-fifth year, on June 30, 2009. Miriam was predeceased by her parents, Fanny and Itzick Sherman, her husband, Gerald Wasserman, her brother Harry Sherman. She is survived by her sister-in-law Beatrice Sherman, her sister Celia Bookman, her sister and brother-in-law, Rose and Sol Turetsky, her nieces and nephews, Irene Glanz (Elliot), Jack Sherman (Leanor), Judy Doob (Michael), Bunny Halpern (Sam), Ira Turetsky (Natacha), Meda Turetsky (Ted Cohen), Judy Turetsky (Scott Baedenknopf), and June Turk, their many children and grandchildren, as well as Gerald's children and grandchildren. Miriam was instrumental throughout her life in moulding young minds, having taught for more than forty years. The family wishes to thank the staff at Manoir King David who provided such exceptional care these past years and her caregiver Lena. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. West, on Thursday, July 2 at 3 p.m. Burial at the Chevra Shaas Congregation, de la Savane. Shiva will be observed in Boca Raton.
