AKERFLUG, Gittel (nee Sher) On Friday, April 26, 2013. Beloved wife of the late Label. Loving mother and mother-in-law of Doris and Jack Eichler, Harry and Zippy Akerflug, Shirley and the late Sam Schnurbach, and the late Szlomo. Cherished Bubby of Lenny and Bonnie, Steven and Sherri, Randi and Lloyd, Marla; David and Kelly, Josh and Chantal; Mitchell, Neil and Samantha, Ricky and Erin. Proud great-grandmother of Ryan, Jillian, Erin, Zachary, Jeremy, Matthew, Josh, Evan, Sydney, Olivia, Sammy, and Katie. Predeceased by her parents and siblings who perished in the Holocaust. Special thanks to Mona Hamburg and the staff at Maimonides Geriatric Centre for the exceptional care they gave our mother. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean-Talon St. W., on Sunday, April 28 at 11:00 a.m. Burial at the Montreal Workers' Circle Association Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva at 6616 Mackle Road, C.S.L., from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. daily.
