LOWI, Beno On Tuesday, May 12, 2009, Lag BaOmer, Iyar 18 5769. Beloved husband of Herta. Proud father and father-in-law of Henry and Yasmine, Miriam and Abdellah, Arno and Srna, Emanuel and Alacie, Steven and Katie. Grandfather of Jazia, Dana, Abraham, Ismael, Talia, and Ezra. Cherished brother of Rena Eisenstein of Toronto, and the late Sam Lowi. Sisters Lola and Sabena perished in the Shoah. Son of the late Heinrich and the late Mariam Lowi. Beno will be remembered by his nieces, nephew, relatives and friends. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Thursday, May 14, at 2 p.m. Burial at Shomrim Laboker Congregation Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva at his residence, 610 Carlyle, T.M.R. A survivor of Krakow-Plaszow KZ, a Schindler Jew and a man of strong character who lived an epic life, Beno was devoted to the welfare of the Jewish people. He was loved and will be sadly missed. |
