BERCOVICI, Leia (nee Bercovici) Peacefully, on Monday, January 1, 2018, in her ninety-sixth year. Wife of the late Herson. Beloved mother and mother-in-law of Aliza and Morty Hoch, Eli and Lisa Bercovici. Treasured 'Baba' of Gerry and Beth, Miri and Jason, Lori and Barry, Lindsey, and Rebecca. Very proud 'Big Baba' of Noah, Ari, Audra, Micah, Izzy, Corinne, and Juliette. Predeceased by her siblings and their spouses, Tobi (Aizig and Ben), Harry (Helen), Myer, Rose (Zev), Sam (Birdie), Suri, and Mindy. Dear sister-in-law of Zelda Berkowitz. She will be deeply mourned by her many nieces, nephews and family. Special thanks to Leia's caregivers, Kithleen, Joanna, Dolly and Amy, for their devotion and compassion; as well as the staff of the Steger Residence for their very kind care and attention. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Wednesday, January 3 at 11:00 a.m. Burial at the Shomrim Laboker Congregation Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva at daughter's home, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. daily. Contributions in her memory may be made to the charity of your choice. |
