SHENKER, Shia. peacefully at the Jewish General Hospital on Tuesday, September 26, 2000. A Holocaust survivor in his ninety-fifth year. Beloved husband of the late Sabina Fleising Shenker. Loving father and father-in-law of Eddy and Fran. Betty and Steve Ornstein, Bertha and Eddie Krygier, and Jack Shenker. Beloved grandfather of Brian and Randee, Robert and Celia, Daniel and Ina, Rochelle, Alana, Noah, and Johanna, and great grandfather of Joshua. Brother-in-law of Michael and Dora Fleising, Guta and the late Lipa Fleising and families and relatives in Israel. Also sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral service from Paperman and Sons, 3888 Jean Talon West on Thursday, September 28 at 2 pm Burial at the Shomrim Laboker Congregation Cemetery, de la Savane. Due tot eh Advent of Rosh Hashana Shiva will end Friday. Donations in his memory may be made to the Lubavitcher Yeshivaor The Shia and Sabina Shenker Memorial Fund c/o the Congregation Shomrim Laboker Synagogue. |
