HODESS, Shirley (nee Mendelsohn) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a very special lady, our dear mother Shirley Hodess, on Saturday, July 18, 2009. Beloved wife of the late Sydney. Devoted mother and mother-in-law of the late Jerry Hodess (Gloria), Arlene Hodess, Sharon Hodess, and Carol Haberman. Cherished Bubbie of Elisa, Karen and Victor Winterfeld, Mark Hodess and Stacey Hodess. Proud great-grandmother of nine. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Joe and Helen Mendelsohn, Dorothy and the late George Mendelsohn, the late Al and the late Molly Mendelsohn, the late Phillip and the late Esther Mendelsohn, Morris and the late Selma Solomon, Sheila and the late Milton Mendelsohn, and sister-in-law of Mike and the late Pearl Hodess, Harry and Norma Hodess, the late Hyman and the late Jean Hodess. She will be sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, family and friends. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Tuesday, July 21 at 12 noon. Burial at the Shomrim Laboker Congregation Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva private.
