STERMER, Saul (Shulim) In his ninety-seventh year, on Sunday, June 4, 2017. Husband of the late Czarna Kimelman. Beloved father and father-in-law of Lucy Stermer, Sidney Stermer and Shashie Kleinberg, Bonnie and Leo Grunstein. Cherished Zaidy of Reuven and Sara Lev, Arie and Devorah Lev; Paige and Stuart Becker, Marissa Stermer and Jesse Binstock, Samantha Stermer, and Dylan Stermer; Erin and Alex Halpern. Dear great-grandfather of Chana Esther and Chaya Mushka; Evan and Harlee; Charlee and Emma. Predeceased by his siblings and their spouses, Henia and Fischel Dodek, Nissel (Nathan) and Pearl Stermer, Chana and Joseph Richter, Yetta and Avrum Katz, and Sam Stermer. Brother-in-law of Bella Stermer, Sam and Edith Kimelman of Winnipeg, the late Sarah and the late Sam Ross of Israel. Shulim was a Holocaust survivor, and he tells his story in the film "No Place on Earth". He will be greatly missed by his large extended family, including his two dear nieces, Sonia and Sima, his friends, and all who knew him. The family would like to thank his wonderful caregivers, Myrna and Rosela. Special thanks to the staff of ER at the Jewish General Hospital for their wonderful care.
