STERMER, Pearl (Pepa) (nee Metzger) A Holocaust survivor Peacefully, at home, on Wednesday, May 17, 2017, in her ninety-fourth year. Beloved wife of the late Nathan. Loving mother and mother-in-law of Mendel and Martha, Brenda and Joseph, Oscar and Benita. Cherished Bubbie of Gloria and Allan, Mark and Elizabeth, Erica and Jonathan, Cliff and Lizzie, James and Jodie. Proud great-grandmother of ten great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her sister, Frima Metzger, and by the rest of her siblings and parents who perished in the Holocaust. Sister-in-law of Saul and the late Czarna Stermer, Bella and the late Sam Stermer, the late Yetta and the late Abraham Katz, the late Henia and the late Fischel Dodek, the late Chana and the late Joseph Richter. Pearl will be deeply missed by her nieces, nephews, family and all who knew her. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to Maria Loida, Ayesha, Shirley, Christina, Ethel and Teresita, as well as Dr. Paul Lysy. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Friday, May 19 at 12:00 noon. Burial at the Shomrim Laboker Congregation Cemetery, de la Savane.
