Arthur's formation developed within and contributed to the modernizing trends of Jewish secular life in Eastern Europe. He was active in the Jewish Labour Bund of Poland and in recent years, he was a member of its International Coordinating Committee. He was also active in The Workman's Circle and the Canadian Jewish Congress. Till recently, he was writing Bi-Weekly Yiddish articles for the forwards. At Sir George Williams University in Montreal, he chaired the Economics Department for a quarter century. Funeral service from Paperman and Sons, 3888 Jean Talon West, on Friday, June 29 at 1 p.m. Burial at the Montreal Workers Circle Cemetery, de la Savane. Friends and family are welcome until Sunday evening at 1545 Dr. Penfield, apt 808.
