SEGAL, Irene (nee Shapiro) On Tuesday, January 11, 2011, at the age of ninety-six. Beloved wife of the late Samuel Segal. Loving mother and mother-in-law of Steve and Catherine, and the late Paula. Cherished grandmother of Richard and Jennifer Kurland, Patti Kurland; Sandy and Ashley Segal, and Kayla Segal. Great-grandmother of Jayme Kushner and Tiffany Kurland. Dear sister of the late George Shapiro. Sister-in-law of Edie and the late Eddie Segal, the late Paul Segal, the late Sarah and the late Lou Saffron, the late Molly and the late Sam Ruttenberg, the late Sophie and the late Moe Berlind, the late Mary and the late Harry Laing. She will be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Friday, January 14 at 1 p.m. Burial at the Dominion Hebrew Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva private.
