BLUMENTHAL, Rita (nee Schafer) Peacefully, after a lengthy illness, on Saturday, December 26, 2009. Beloved wife of Benjamin (Benjie). Loving and devoted mother of Mark and Richard. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Joe and Freda Schafer, Harvey and Natalie Schafer, and the late Lester Schafer. Sister-in-law of Rita and the late Harry Blumenthal, Marlene and the late Max Blumenthal. Rita was the co-founder and secretary treasurer of Integra Sales and Marketing Inc. She will be sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, family and all of those whose lives she touched. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at the Royal Victoria Hospital and the CLSC Laval for their exceptional care and compassion. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Tuesday, December 29 at 1:00 p.m. Burial at the Dominion Hebrew Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva at her residence.
