GILLMAN, Israel (Lole)
A Holocaust Survivor
Peacefully at home, on Sunday, September 22, 2019, in his ninety-ninth year. Husband of the late Sheina Weinstein. Beloved father and father-in-law of Etty and Ralph Bienstock, Erit Gillman and Lawrence Laing. Devoted "Zaida" of Lorne Bienstock and Bridgit Kotler, Neil Bienstock and Deborah Wolfe; Andrea Borod and Kenny Koby, and Ari Borod. Proud great "Zaida" of Aidan, Russell and Sabrina Bienstock; Samson, Rachel and Ryan Bienstock; Maggie Sheina Koby. Brother of the late Moishe and the late Sheina Gillman, the late Leibele Gillman. Loving uncle of Sara and Joseph Pliamm, Liuba and Misha Grossman, David and Victoria Gillman, Arieh Lazar and the late Josh Lazar. Heartfelt thanks to his "angel" Nena Hernandez for her loving care and devotion and to Marilou and Rowena. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean-Talon St. W., on Tuesday, September 24 at 2:00 p.m. Burial at the Shomrim Laboker Congregation Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva at his home.
