| Obituary | We are saddened to announce the passing of Ricky (Erica) Steinberg Tajfel, who passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, November 17th, 2022. Treasured and beloved wife of Irving Tajfel for 34 years. Loving mother and mother-in-law of Fallon Tajfel and Richard Varadi, Jamie Tajfel and Max Sigler. Adored Mimi of Leo and Rome Varadi, Joey and Zev Sigler. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Brian and Rosemary Steinberg, the late Bill Steinberg. Beyond loved sister-in-law of Maureen and Kenny Tajfel. Daughter of the late Mary and the late Michael Steinberg, and daughter-in-law of Adele and the late Jack Tajfel. Ricky will be deeply missed by her nieces, nephews, and their families, Tara Steinberg and Jay Rathore, Jordan and Nicole Steinberg, Gabriel Steinberg, Lauren Tajfel and Jason Prizant, Morgan Tajfel and Kayla Seguev, Griffin Tajfel and Amy Garfinkle. Ricky appreciated the extraordinary care of her doctors and nurses, most notably the dedication of Dr. François Patenaude, her doctor and friend for 22 years. Ricky had a fierce zest for life and loved nothing more than spending time with her family and close friends. These special times far outweighed any challenges she faced. Her spirit continues to live on in all those whose lives she touched.
Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Sunday, November 20 at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be strictly private. Please respect the family's wishes. Shiva at her home.
