LANDE, Mia (nee Gaber) On Wednesday, November 11, 2015, in her 88th year. Beloved wife and soul mate of the late Martin. Loving mother and mother-in-law of Sherry and Gerry Feifer, Irwin and Claude Lande. Cherished Bubby of Dr. Andrew and Michelle, and J.J. Feifer; William, Victoria, Allison, and Alex Lande. Proud great-grandmother of Julia, Jack, and Ryan Feifer. Dear sister and sister-in-law of the late David and the late Fortunee Gaber, the late Mina and the late Beno Reisner. She will be sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, family and friends. Special thanks to Dr. Norman Fox, Leah Nasis, and Dolores Villanueva for their exceptional care and devotion. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean-Talon St. W. on Friday, November 13, at 11:00 a.m. Burial at the Shomrim Laboker Congregation Cemetery, Beth Hamedrash Hagadol Section, de la Savane. Shiva at her home on Friday until 3.30 p.m., Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m., and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Donations in her memory may be made to the Israel Cancer Research Fund, 514-481-2723. Mia was a holocaust survivor (Transnistria), a proud and creative lady, who lived her life with dignity. |
