FINKELSTEIN, Mildred (nee Polishuk). Peacefully surrounded by her family, on Friday, October 4, 2002. Beloved wife of the late Issie. Devoted mother and mother-in-law of Alexandra Marcovitch and Chuck Hurwitch of Rochester , N.Y., Sidney and Barbara of Toronto, Dr. William (Billy) and Keila. Cherished Grandma of Dr. Jeffrey Marcovitch and Judy Freid-Marcovitch of Atlanta, Georgia, Richard Marcovitch of Toronto, Jamie Marcovitch and Debra Mawas of Toronto, Corey Finkelstein and Laurie Copeland of Creemore, Ontario, Kelly Frances of Toronto, Audrey and Stephanie Finkelstein, Joanie and Aaron Hendler of Toronto, Hartley Starkman of Hong Kong, Judith Starkman of West Palm Beach. Loving great grandmother of Daniel Fried-Marcovitch, Dylan and Taylor Marcovitch. Pre-deceased by her sisters and brothers-in-law Dora and Harry Schwartz, Rose and Abe Cohen, Lily and Louis Spiegel, Sally and Sam Lutterman, Rae and Moe Abrahams and by her brother-in-law and sister-in-law Benny and Annie Finkelstein. She will be sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, family and friends. Funeral service from Paperman and Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. West on Sunday, October 6 at 12:15 p.m. Burial at the Shomrim Laboker Congregation Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva private. The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses and staff in the I.C.U. and C.C.U. at the Jewish General Hospital for their care and compassion.
