ABRAMOVITCH, Sonia (Sunny) (nee Jones) Peacefully, in her eighty-eighth year, at her Florida home, on Tuesday, March 23, 2010, surrounded by her children. Devoted wife of the late William (Bill). Cherished mother and mother-in-law of Sheldon and Karen, and Kenny. Adored "Grandma Sunny" of Scott and Talia Abramovitch, Jamie Abramovitch, Randy and Jeff Fixman. Proud Great-Grandma of Emily and Isabelle Abramovitch, Matty, J.J. and Sean Fixman. Predeceased by her sisters and brothers-in-law, Bertha and Fred Adler, Ida and Sam Fein, Tina and Harry Kligman, and by William's siblings and their spouses, Sam and Ruth Abramovitch, Jean and Charles Rockman, Sally and Max Torbin, Freda and Moe Ship, Gussy and Henry Blustein. Sunny will be extremely missed by family members, Betty Mangal, Vanessa Glasgow, and her beloved nephews and nieces. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt appreciation to her caring Montreal and Florida friends, Beth, Hilda, Helly, Laida, Christina, Eisho, Dolly, Annie, Ruth, Michael and Neville. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Thursday, March 25 at 11:45 a.m. Burial at the Shomrim Laboker Congregation Cemetery, de la Savane. Due to the advent of Passover, Shiva ends Sunday evening, March 28. Sunny's pride and joy was always her loving family, especially at the holidays. She will be sadly missed our Seder Table. |
