BEITCHMAN, Jack Eddie. Peacefully after a short illness, surrounded by his family, on Saturday, July 15, 2006 at the age of one hundred. Dearly beloved husband of the late Lily. Much loved and devoted father and father-in-law of Paula and Harvey Akman, Dr. Joe and Soryl Beitchman, Harvey Beitchman and Carol Jacobson. Cherished, most loved and respected grandfather of Dr. Mitchell and Joanne Akman, Dr. Donna Akman, Marci Akman and Mark Lieberman, Daniel and Jason Beitchman, Rebecca Beitchman, Jessica and Rob Tinkler. Adored great-grandfather of Elizabeth, Hannah, Elliot and David Akman. Those who were fortunate enough to have known Jack will be forever touched by the wonderful and special man that he was. The family would like to give special thanks to his amazing caregiver Arlyne as well as Jocelyn and his other excellent caregivers for their care, kindness and devotion. You all have truly made a difference in his life. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W. on Tuesday, July 18 at 10:45 a.m. Burial at Congregation Shomrim Laboker Cemetery, De la Savane. Shiva will be observed at Ruby Foo's Hotel until 2:30 p.m. Shiva to continue in Toronto Wednesday, July 19 at 2 p.m. at 19 Tahoe Court.
