PAYNE, Ben. Peacefully on Saturday, November 2, 2002. Beloved husband of the late Gertrude (Jerry). Devoted father and father-in-law of Jeff and Susan Payne, Barbara Lester and dear friend Jack Gold. Cherished pappy of Jamie and Kelly, Stuart, Gary and Rosann Abrams. Shawn, Dr. Richard and Karen, Dr. Jennifer Payne (fiancee Robbie Gold). Great grandfather of Madison, Bailey, and Mikaela Abrams. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Mina and the late Maurice Katz, the late Charlie Payne, the late Buddy and the late Sam Koppel. Special thanks to Dr. Gary Inglis, caregivers Dolly and Mary, nurse Allison and staff of 16th East, Montreal General Hospital for their kindness and devotion. Funeral Service from Paperman and Sons, 3888 Jean Talon Street West, on Monday, November 4, 2002 at 11:30 a.m. Burial at the Shomrim Laboker Congregation Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva private.
