Obituary EDERY, Meir Mario It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our dear, beautiful Papi. Peacefully, early Thursday morning, March 22, 2012, 28 Adar, 5772 Cherished son of the late Leah and Isaque Edery. Leaving behind his family, his pride and joy. Devoted husband to Olga Edery for 56 wonderful years. The best Papi to his cherished children, Lydia, Isaac (Barbara), Miguel, Joel (Aline), Albert (Sandra), Lyse and Jack (Fanny). Papi Mario was loved by all of his grandchildren. Adored brother to Gracia Benchimol and Messod Edery. Preceded by his beloved brother and sister Ambrosio and Molly. Cherished by all of his brother and sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews friends and family. Meir, Mario Edery devoted his entire life to his family and his community. He was a pillar of the Jewish community. He was the founder and president of the Sephardic Community of Laval and a founder of the Communaute Sepharade du Quebec. He was a devoted volunteer to the community giving of his time, compassion and ideas to various worthwhile causes. Papi was an intelligent, loyal, devoted, dedicated, modest, honest, responsible, generous, strong, philosophical man that cherished and loved his family, friends, community and life. He greeted everyone with a smile. He liked to tell jokes and laugh. He liked nature and to sit by the water. But Most of all he loved to be surrounded by his family. Papi was respected by all and loved by everyone who knew him. Papi was a man of MITZVOT. May the merit of your mitzvot accompany you to Gan Eden. May your memory be a blessing to all of us. We will greatly miss you. You will always be with us. We Love You Papi.
