SCHLEIFER, Pauline (nee Switzman). It is with great sorrow, that Pauline's family announces her passing on Tuesday, December 13, 2005. Beloved wife of the late Sidney. Devoted mother and mother-in-law of Tina and Dr. Robert Shapiro, Michael Schleifer and Carole Klein. Loving and devoted Bubby of Joanne Shapiro and Robert Libman, Mark Shapiro, Sandra Shapiro and Bram Goldstein; Sabine, Steven, and Miriam Schleifer; Gail and Reisa Klein. Doting Great Bubby of Kevin, Daniel and Jonathan Libman, Joshua Shapiro, Joseph and Hannah McCormick, and Rachel Schleifer. Loving sister and sister-in-law of Sarah and the late Gene Berlin, John and Iris Switzman, Rose and the late Max Rosaminer, the late Jennie Litvack, the late Harry and the late Betty Switzman. She will be sadly missed by her nieces and nephews. Sincere thank you to Pauline's companions Julia Hidalgo and Veronica Williams for their kindness and compassion. The family acknowledges the attention and care of the 6N and 5N staff of the Maimonides Geriatric Centre, especially the 6N staff for their exemplary level of empathy, support and efforts on Pauline's behalf in the last few weeks. Funeral Service from Paperman and Sons, 3888 Jean Talon West on Thursday, December 15 at 4:00 p.m. Burial at the Farband Labour Zionist Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva at her daughter's residence. Pauline's strength of character and perseverance in adversity will always inspire us. |
